The Unified Architecture Framework® (UAF®) was initially developed in response to UML®, SysML® and military defense (DoDAF, MoDAF and NAF) requirements to generate standardized and consistent enterprise architectures. A primary strength of UAF is that nearly the entirety of its concepts and themes are equally applicable in commercial domains. UAF is a highly efficient means of representing enterprise architectures that meet specific business, operational and systems-of-systems integration needs of commercial, governmental and industrial enterprises. UAF is readily understandable by enterprise and IT systems architects, systems engineers, business executives, enterprise and program managers, hardware and software developers, and modelers alike.
Now that Part 1: Domain Metamodel (DMM) and Part 2: Unified Architecture Framework Modeling Language (UAFML) of the UAF are adopted and published as international ISO standards ISO/IEC 19540-1:2022 and ISO/IEC 19540-2:2022 respectively, the OMG has opted to commence its UAF certification initiative with an introductory UAF model user exam testing basic concepts in UAF model literacy
To do so, the OMG seeks your collaboration to sponsor and initiate global UAF adoption via this introductory UAF exam.
