SysML V2 Specification Release
The SysML® v2 RFP was issued on December 8, 2017. This culminated an 18-month effort to develop the requirements for the next-generation systems modeling language, which is intended to improve the precision, expressiveness, and usability over SysML v1.
SysML v1.5 Specification Release
May, 2017. The OMG SysML Version 1.5 specification (OMG document formal/2017-56-01) was formally released and can be downloaded from the OMG SysML page at https://www.omg.org/spec/SysML/1.5/. This specification supercedes SysML Version 1.4. A primary change from SysML v1.4 is the introduction of an Abstract Requirement that can be extended to support other kinds of requirements such as property-based requirements (refer to Annex E.8). The intent is to enable more precise expressions of requirements beyond purely text-based requirements.
